What is Expository Composition

From what I've heard expository writing is the type of writing that helps explain, inform, or describe something. The essays that us students are told to write are for us to demonstrate our knowledge and understanding of a certain topic.

My Big Question

Something I've always wanted to know would be...

1. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don't like and like so many things we don't do?

2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?

It's All Latin To Me!

"dimidium facti qui coepit habet: sapere aude, incioe"

Translation: "Dare to be wise when the beginning is half done Begin..."

I assume that it relates to Dr. Preston's Expository Composition course by the simple fact that he always wants us to challenge ourselves. He wants us to try new things and explore the real world out there through new tools. He's taught me how to challenge myself and how to connect what we learn to something we're familiar with to make it much easier to comprehend. The quote reminds me a lot of the word phrase, "Don't be afraid to try something new", challenge yourself! Just HAVE FUN!!!
